AK is the new Shine Champion!

On 09.08.18 in Woodside, New York, Allysin Kay became the new Shine Wrestling Champion when she beat Brandi Lauren, Santana Garrett, and Mercedes Martinez all in one night.

After Lufisto vacated the Championship this summer due to needing surgery, Shine created an one-night, eight-woman tournament in order to crown the new Champion. The participants of said tournament were announced at Shine 52 in July, where Allysin Kay made a surprise appearance - her first Shine appearance since her injury in January - and was announced as the eight and final participant in the tournament, and Brandi Lauren's first round opponent.
